VIDEOS

A short snippet of what we did in Trackers 2015!

THINGS WE MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT OUR YOUTH is a series of video clips being produced by TRUTHMIN (TRAC Youth Ministries) to help pastors, leaders and parents understand their church youth better.  Each video explores a critical aspect of youth ministry, and challenges adult leaders and parents in local churches to think deeper and pray more intelligently for our next generation.

Each video comes with discussion questions, recommended reading and additional information on the subject presented.  Pastors and adult leaders can consider using this video in the following settings:

a. As part of a church leadership meeting or planning retreat (LCEC, Youth Ministry Core Team).

b. At the beginning of, or during, a gathering of parents.

c. As an illustration for a sermon or youth talk.

THINGS WE MIGHT NOT KNOW ABOUT OUR YOUTH

INSTALLMENT 1 : I AM CONFUSED!

In I AM CONFUSED! TRUTHMIN explores the different roles and images that our youth grapple with in todays complex and confusing world.  Do our youth have an identity crisis?  Are their perceptions of themselves accurate and healthy?  Is their image consistent with the character of Christ?  These are just a few (of many) questions which we hope to provoke through this production.

INSTALLMENT 2 : “WHY DO YOUTH COME TO CHURCH ? “

church, and the importance of friendships and relationships in their lives.  Youth are looking for a mentor to walk with them through the different seasons of their lives.  Are our youth ministries intentional in building relationships?  How many adults are actively serving in your youth ministry?  These are just a few (of many) questions which we hope to provoke through this production.

INSTALLMENT 3 : SEX and the CHURCH

In SEX and the CHURCH  TRUTHMIN explores the often avoided issue of sex and our churches today.  Everyday, our youth are bombarded by movies, television, novels, advertisements and the internet.  Sex and sexuality play an important part in the life and development of a youth.  Parents, church leaders and pastors often have difficulty talking about the subject of sex with their youth.  Should the Church be silent in all of this?  What does the Word of God have to say about sex?  How can our churches become a place that offers Godly teaching for righteous and victorious living?

As parents, youth pastors and leaders, we have the right to speak spiritual truths and integrate values on sex and sexuality with our youth discipleship.
